I studied fine art at the University of Colorado, Boulder, which gave me a unique opportunity to photograph some of the landscape of the Rocky Mountains. Growing up in Michigan near the city of Detroit inspired me to capture the mood, and characteristics of the city’s metropolitan areas. I currently live in Chicago and study at The Art Institute, which has given me the opportunity to continue to explore the metropolitan areas and urban scenery that are unique to the city.
As an artist I am given a unique opportunity to express myself. I use fine arts to convey my ideas as well as personality and emotion. A piece of my artwork gives the viewer a glimpse of my creativity and perspective. Other images express juxtaposition to vast landscapes of nature and city. I also use controlled studio lighting to create an additional perspective. In this constructed setting I have worked on the study of still life, portraiture and narrative scene depiction.
